Sean Nós Irish Dancing Course

This course is organised with the support of the Embassy of Ireland in Finland.
This course is a beginning level course aimed at teaching the basics. You have little or no experience with Sean nós dancing and mainly interested to learn a unique dance and have fun.
Calling all dancers for an introduction to Sean nós (old style) dancing course, which originates in the west of Ireland and is basically a casual dance form which values spontaneous expression. It is characterised by its ''low to the ground'' footwork, improvised steps and free movement of the arms.
Nada Ní Chuirrín was raised in the heart of Connemara, where she was deeply immersed in rich Irish culture. She is a talented concertina, tin-whistle player and sean nós dancer and has performed on national and international stages. In 2018, Nada's distinctive style won national recognition, when she won Corn TG4 at Oireachtas na Samhna, becoming not only one of the youngest recipients but one of only four female winners in the history of the competition.
